Project Description

Marketing Breakthru

Marketing, advertising & branding services

The BreakthruVideo brand was relaunched and re-branded on 12/12/2012.  Since then, quite a bit has changed in advertising and marketing.  The impact digital media is having in all markets and daily lives, in such a brief period of time, is mesmerizing.  Think about it, what did the term ‘social media marketing’ mean in the year 2000, or even 2010?  Not too long ago, it felt like broadcast TV was the most prestigious way to advertise because it was one of few ways where you could get video to communicate an engaging message in just a few seconds.
Nowadays, we all have a ‘mobile TV’ in the palm of our hand.  Aside from mobile phones, there are computers, tablets, commercial digital displays and often times, even multiple TV’s in our homes.
BreakthruVideo specializes in two areas, the creation and distribution of digital content.  You may be asking yourself, “What is the difference?”.
As an example, let’s assume you have your own business.  Whether you provide goods or a service, you want the world to know what you provide and how you provide it.  Because most companies have a website, like most people, let’s say that you decided to get a website and launch some social media pages.  That website and those social sites need to be filled with content to communicate your message.
You then decide to fill, or have someone fill your pages with pictures and textual information.  That is where content has to be created.  For the sake of this example, let’s say your task to fill your website and social pages with content is complete, and now you want to share your message with the world!  Now what do you do?  How do you effectively share that content and have it generate revenue?  That is where distribution and curation of that digital content comes in to play.
Creating professional content takes time and resources, as does communicating and sharing it.  If you were to personally network with people face-to-face for a month straight, it may yield revenue.  However, that month of face-to-face networking has a cost.  There is the investment of time, as well as other direct and indirect costs as well.  Costs can range from things like fuel, car maintenance, meals, salaries, services, memberships, etc.  Face-to-face is good, but if we consider the impact that digital media has in society, is it not wise to consider hiring someone to help bring growth in that market?
Digital content can range from photos, textual content (copyright), and audio/video.  The reason BreakthruVideo works with so much video content is quite simply because the market is asking for it.  If you aren’t investing in video content specifically, and the marketing of that content, consider the pie chart on this page.

Video internet traffic-BreakthruVideo

As of 2016, video topped 75% of global consumer internet traffic.  Cisco’s conservative forecasts show that number jumping to 80% in 2019.  Disney also shared the consumer trend on video, stating that video accounted for 2/3 of all mobile usage in 2017.  Knowing clients love to watch videos, they gave their travel professionals and partners that specific type of content.
In 2013, Instagram was strictly a photo sharing platform, and launched the ability to share 15 second videos (to compete with Vine).  By 2016 it increased to 1-minute videos and that shot up to 10 minutes on a single (gallery) post in 2017.  In 2014, Facebook began ‘pinned videos’ on business pages, and you’ve probably noticed the auto-playing videos are everywhere now.  By 2015, Facebook Live was launched.  Even Twitter, which essentially made it’s reputation as a public text message, launched 2+ minute videos (up to 10 min.) in 2016.
One last thought, if you were building a house, would you have the plumber doing the electrical work or visa versa?  Would you have the painter establish the blueprint and architecture?  In the same manner, marketing has several elements, such as public relations, market research, creatives and advertising.  Who do you have working in each area of your digital marketing plans?  Call 786.999.8229 to start your digital marketing campaign.
